The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has announced the confirmation of Mrs. Maame Samma Peprah, Esq. as Registrar of Companies and Mr. Benjamin Zigorsh-Nyakpenu, Esq. as Deputy Registrar of Companies.
Their appointments have been confirmed by John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana and Sections 362(1) and 363(a) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992). Mrs. Peprah and Mr. Zigorsh-Nyakpenu assumed office on 17th March 2024 and 20th March 2024 respectively.
Their confirmation marks an important milestone in strengthening leadership at the Office of the Registrar of Companies, the institution responsible for registering, regulating and educating businesses and administering Ghana’s corporate registry.

As Registrar of Companies, Mrs. Peprah will provide strategic leadership for the Office, oversee the administration of the corporate registry and ensure the effective regulation of companies and businesses in line with national laws. Mr. Zigorsh-Nyakpenu, as Deputy Registrar, will support the Registrar in the implementation of regulatory policies, enforcement of compliance with statutory obligations and the continued modernization of business registration and corporate services.
Management and staff congratulated Mrs. Peprah and Mr. Zigorsh-Nyakpenu on their confirmation and expressed confidence in their ability to steer the institution toward achieving its mandate of regulating and facilitating business registration and corporate compliance in Ghana.
They have also assured the Registrar and Deputy Registrar of their full support and cooperation as they continue to advance reforms and improve corporate regulatory services for businesses across the country.
